A well-turned out purin

Yesterday there was a family expedition to the cinema to see The Bourne Ultimatum. Thoroughly enjoyable, though through a combination of the non-stop shaky camera work and the movie being essentially one long action scene, I felt exhausted by the end, as though I'd been the one dodging bullets and jumping through plate-glass windows.

For once Michele wasn't working in the evening, and Corinna was back for the day, so we got to eat together too. Nick, Corinna's boyfriend arrived in time for the purin (custard pudding) that I made the other day, so there were six of us round the table, and to my delight the purin disappeared in an instant. Cheers Yuki!

The only thing I want to work on is making the texture really velvety. I think this might be achieved by cooking it even more gently than Yuki advised, at a lower temperature.
